A dispute has started between China and Pakistan. The reason for this dispute is the T-85 tank of the Pakistani Army, which Pakistan wants to upgrade. Generally, China and Pakistan are very close friends. From vaccine to road construction, China openly supports Pakistan on many fronts. Along with friends and interests, the two countries also share adversaries like India and America.
The controversy started over Radiators of the T-85 Tanks
Now a business debate has started between two companies of both the countries regarding a particular part of the tank. This dispute has started between China North Industries Group Corporation or Norinco of China and Heavy Industries Taxila or HIT of Pakistan over the Radiator, an important part of the tank. In fact, the Pakistani company wants 200 radiators to upgrade the tank and in the initial phase, the Chinese company has supplied 73 radiators. Change in Radiators will have a bad effect on the tank HIT is dissatisfied with the radiators and wants to change them. On the other hand, NORINCO has turned down its demand, saying that any change in the radiator can affect the heat of the engine and its power system. If the radiator in the tank is not working properly, it can become extremely hot and shut down. This can cause a big loss to the Pakistan Army. Pakistan wants a change in another deal with the Chinese company that was signed in 2012.
Pakistan backed out of the deal
The deal between the two countries was for 220 Al Khalid tanks in two batches of 110 to be built at HIT. Pakistan changed its mind after 110 tanks and demanded modern VT-4 tanks designed and manufactured in China to replace the remaining ones. Pakistan is heavily dependent on China for weapons and will continue to do so even after such disputes.
