While Pakistan has started expanding its pro-terror image in Afghanistan through the Taliban, at the economic level, it is facing a new problem every day. This time the European Union is going to give a big blow to Pakistan on charges of Violation of Human Rights if Pakistan does not stop doing what it is doing to its women and children. But the Devil never listens to the Scriptures. Pakistan too would not stop its practice.
According to reports, the European Union is now going to re-evaluate its special GSP+ (Generalized Scheme of Preferences) status of trade with Pakistan. Pakistan enjoys this status with the EU since 2014. EU said that due to the Violation of Human Rights in Pakistan, there is a special need for re-evaluation of the status given to Pakistan. The EU is extremely important in the economy of Pakistan. In this economical downstream situation, if Pakistan’s economic relations with the European Union are also affected, then the backbone of Pakistan’s economy will suffer a major blow.
Pakistan’s total trade with the EU is about 14%. At the same time, about 28% of Pakistan’s goods are exported to European countries. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that the European Union is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy. This is the reason why exports of goods from Pakistan to the EU have increased from $4.538 billion to $7.492 billion. Import of Garments from Pakistan is highest among European countries. Now that too can be harmed because of its antics. The European Union is considered to have a liberal image, due to which it has not imposed any Import Tax on goods imported from developing countries. Under this exemption, the status of GSP+ was allotted to developing countries. Pakistan has taken great advantage of EU rules. But now, this status given to Pakistan is in danger.
The European Union is continuously evaluating Human Rights Violations in Pakistan, in which Pakistan does not appear to be living up to the terms of the EU. In its assessments, the European Union found how women and children are being subjected to cruelty in Pakistan, with people repeatedly being convicted of blasphemy. There are also reports that people have died despite being acquitted of the law of blasphemy. The way an 8-year-old boy was recently convicted of blasphemy is a symbol of Pakistan’s brutality.
Not only this, along with capturing Kabul in Afghanistan, it has also supported the Taliban, by toppling the Afghan government of Ashraf Ghani, which is spreading its violence and terrorism on Afghanistan. Starting from the Chief of Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency ISI to Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, allegations of helping Afghanistan are on every political leader and administrative officer of Pakistan. At the same time, Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh has also exposed Pakistan’s nexus with the Taliban, who are spreading Islamic fundamentalism. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that this action of the EU is also related to the Pak-Talib nexus in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s economy is running at the mercy of China. Due to the nurturing of terror, the IMF may anytime Black-List Pakistan. Pakistan does not even have enough raw material for the garment industry due to significant low production of Cotton. Pakistani traders had already requested the Pakistan govt to lift the import ban from India so that they could get a cheap and timely supply of Cotton to maintain their garment industry. So imposing Import duty to Pakistani goods by the EU may severely damage the only running industry of Pakistan after its Terror Industry.
